Now in its seventh year, the hugely successful, annual quiz, gives Belfast city centre businesses the chance to flex their mental muscles, all in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

Taking place on Wednesday 28th September in the Clayton Hotel, and hosted by U105’s Frank Mitchell, the event will see teams battle it out in a series of quick-fire rounds, including pop culture, sports, general knowledge, current affairs and name that tune.

Gordon McElroy, President of Belfast Chamber of Trade & Commerce President, said: “This is a real highlight in the Chamber’s calendar. Not only is it a great fun event, where business people can network together, but they can do so in a fun, less formal way and have real sense of camaraderie amongst their fellow team mates, whilst raising much-needed funds for a very important charity.

“The event is open to any organisation or individual in Belfast who thinks they have the ability to be crowned ‘Belfast’s Brainiest Business’ or is simply in search of a great night out with their team.”

The event is part of U105’s Operation Purple Week, with all proceeds from the evening going to Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice which provides specialist nursing care for children with life-limiting conditions and supports their families. NI Children’s Hospice is the only service of its kind in Northern Ireland caring for children and young people with very complex needs.

Ellen Hillen, Corporate Fundraising Manager for NI Children’s Hospice said: “We are delighted to be involved in Belfast’s Brainiest Business Quiz again this year as the recipient of the charity raffle.

“For every £30 received NI Children’s Hospice can provide an hour of Hospice care to a child living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.

“Words cannot express the value of Hospice care to children and their families as they try to cope with the day to day struggles of caring for a sick child, and so we are very grateful for the very valued support of BCTC.”

The event is taking place on Wednesday 28th September at the Clayton Hotel on Ormeau Avenue (arrival from 6pm with quiz beginning at 7pm), cost of entry is £6 per person.
