Newforge House is delighted to announce three accolades at the 2014 Georgina Campbell Awards held at Bord Bia in Dublin on Tuesday 8th October: COUNTRY HOUSE OF THE YEAR; IRISH BREAKFAST AWARDS – NATIONAL WINNER and COUNTRY HOUSE BREAKFAST.
“We are blown away by these unexpected awards! It is a real honour to receive three Georgina Campbell Awards which are very highly regarded within the hospitality industry throughout the Island of Ireland. We are extremely proud to have been selected solely on merit as the result of anonymous visits and to stand alongside two other winners from Northern Ireland (Watermill Lodge, Co Fermanagh & Whitepark House, Co Antrim) in representing excellence in Irish hospitality.”
Representatives of the best in Irish hospitality gathered for the announcement of the Awards associated with the respected Georgina Campbell’s Ireland independent hospitality guides, and Ireland’s most popular independent hospitality and travel website.
Ms Campbell said of her awards which always include some unexpected choices and out of the way surprises, “Importantly, these awards are more than the sum of their parts as each gives a valuable snapshot of the best of Irish hospitality today, demonstrating its strengths and showing how good food and hospitality can lead the way forward to a better future for all.”
Newforge House also joins three of its fellow Ireland’s Blue Book Members in winning awards.
The Blue Book says, “Ireland’s Blue Book congratulates Newforge on their very well-deserved award. It is wonderful to see John and Lou’s devotion and dedication recognised. Newforge is gorgeous country house, run by a couple that are passionate about their business. We look forward to sending many more guests to Newforge.”
