The lady boys of Bangkok show returns this November to Belfast’s Custom House Square. Expect laughs, ladys and legs. lots and lots and lots of legs! Ulster Life recently caught up with the ladies and asked them a few questions and working and playing in Belfast…
You’re back in Belfast again this year. Where and when?
Our new Glamorous Amorous Tour for 2013 is in Belfast at from Sat 2nd to Sat 23rd Nov!
You’ve been coming to our city for years now. What do you love most about Belfast?
We love the people – the audience old and new! We always feel so welcomed by the friendly atmosphere at the shows. There’s also such a rich history here, we love exploring and learning things in every city of our UK tour.
Is it all work and no play while you’re here?
We won’t lie – we love a cheeky party and we also love to shop!! But of course the shows come first, so we have to play nicely (wink wink). In Belfast there are so many places to eat and drink and the shops are amazing! On a typical day when we get a chance to relax from the show we go to James Street South for a spot of lunch or before hitting the shops at Victoria Square – in particular we love the gorgeous and luxurious designer clothes at CRUISE.. But we do love a bargain as much as the next lady(boy) and we heard good things about The OUTLET in Banbridge! Maybe we will head there too! Zen is also a favourite restaurant for dinner – the food is delicious, the service is amazing and there’s always a great atmosphere!
Do you get a chance to travel around Ireland or visit any of the clubs?
Yes! We get a few days to enjoy the cities we visit before the show opens. When in Belfast our favourite place is El Divino for drinks and dancing!
Audience participation is a big part of the show. Do Belfast people disappoint?
Oh no, Belfast would never disappoint! There’s always a very good mix of people in the audience and we love a bit of Irish charm.
The shows simply can’t be missed! I know Ulster Life will be there. What would you say to someone who hasn’t been before?
Expect the unexpected! We showcase the best in comedy, cabaret and cheekiness all in one show, with more glamour than you can shake a stick at!
The shows never disappoint. Have you any little secrets you can tell UL about this year’s show?
Well, now that you mention secret’s we suppose we could tell you that our finale outfits are inspired by the Victoria’s Secrets 2011 catwalk show. We just loved the designs so much that we had to have our own versions for the new tour. They’re so beautiful we want to wear them all day, every day!
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for details on how to purchase tickets for the November shows. Book early to avoid disappointment!
