The Doyen is celebrating their first summer with a Big Day Out full of delicious BBQ food, outdoor bars, pop up beer & gin talks, live music and a zone to keep the kids entertained!

With free entry for all, the day will be hosted by DJ Will who will be playing tunes in-between four live acts including Joe Girvin, Rwanda Shaw & Jack Laverty, The Overtones and The Reckoners.

Gerry White from Jawbox and the folks from Copeland Gin will also be there to show off their brand-new summer flavours including Strawberry & Basil, Pineapple & Ginger and Rhubarb & Ginger.

There will also be three hilarious eating challenges including speedy, spicy chicken wings, person vs pizza and the HOT HOT chilli challenge. Entries are open now to apply – thedoyenbelfast.com

There’s something to keep the kids happy too of course. There is a full inflatables zone with bouncy castle, bouncy slide and toddlers pit as well as face painting for just £3 entry for the day.

The day kicks off at 2pm and finishes up outside at 8pm where the party will continue inside their Private Rooms ‘til late for the Pizza & Prosecco Party! Cheesy DJ tunes, cheesy pizza and a full ‘dress your prosecco’ menu!

Andrew Rylands, General Manager at The Doyen commented:

“What better way to celebrate our first summer in The Doyen with a big party where everyone is invited! Everyone loves having a drink outside and with the BBQ fired up and the live music on stage, it’s sure to have everyone in great spirits. Let’s just hope we get more of these heatwaves! We really look forward to welcoming everyone down to The Doyen.”

Admission to the event is free (kids zone £3 entry) and it all kicks off at 2pm. Entertainment will continue in the bar and in The Private Rooms until late. The Bar, Café Bar and Morso restaurant are also open as normal for dining and drinks.  Please note there will be no parking available at The Doyen on the day of the event. The Doyen is situated right by Balmoral Station, so people are advised to get the train.
