Over 300 of Northern Ireland’s elite Hair & Beauty professionals gathered at the Europa Hotel for a star studded evening in recognition to the best in the industry on Sunday September 13.

The inaugural Northern Ireland Hair & Beauty Awards celebrates the amazing breadth of talent and style in this country. The awards attracted thousands of nominations from the public, who voted for their favourite hair and beauty guru’s.

The glamorous evening was hosted by well known blogger Suzanne Jackson, where guests from across Northern Ireland joined in the black tie dinner celebration to their industry. Accolades presented on the night included Beautician of the Year, Hair Salon of the Year and Makeup Specialist of the Year and many more.

Speaking shortly after the event Irfan Younis of event organisers Creative Oceanic said “We have been blown away by the response from the public and our finalists, considering it is the first year of the awards. Well done to all the winners and finalists and we thank everyone who participated in making this another successful Creative Oceanic event.”

The Awards also allows the opportunity to fundraise for a worthwhile cause and this year helped raise £1900 for the official charity partner, Make A Wish Foundation UK who grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

And the winners are:

Cosmetic Clinic of the Year went to Belfast Cosmetic Laser Clinic (Belfast).

Spa of the Year went to The Secret Day Spa (Belfast).

Masseuse of the Year went to Majella Farrell (Live Well Clinic, Banbridge).

Best Marketing Campaign went to Hair Traffic (Belfast).

Tanning Salon of the Year went to House of Tan (Belfast).

Professional Product of the Year went to Laurens Way Tan.

Salon Design of the Year went to Roco Hair (Derry).

Nail Technician of the Year went to Lorena Cassidy (Nails by Lorena, Enniskillen).

Make Up Specialist of the Year went to Denise Dempter (Beauty by Denize, Newtownards).

Beautician of the Year went to Rachel Ferran (MXN Pro, Belfast).

Hair Extension Specialist of the Year went to La Bella Vita (Newtownards).

Best Barber 2015 went to Sams Barbershop (Belfast).

Junior Stylist of the Year went to Rebecca Bryans (DKY Hairdressing).

Colour Technician of the Year went to Suzan Manning (Zuni Hair, Belfast).

Women’s Stylist of the Year went to Paul Meekin (Paul Meekin Partners Hair & Beauty, Belfast).

Men’s Stylist of the Year went to David Craig (The Derry Barber Company).

 

(The following three categories were split into five regions, with regional winners and one overall winner)

Team/Service of the Year North East winner is Wow Hairdressing (Coleraine).

Team/Service of the Year South East winner is LaLa Panzi Health Beauty and Education (Banbridge).

Team/Service of the Year Southern winner is Surgery Hairdressing (Dungannon).

Team/Service of the Year Western winner is Couture Hair (Omagh).

Team/Service of the Year Belfast winner is Paul Meekin Partners Hair and Beauty (Belfast).

 

Team/Service of the Year Overall winner is Paul Meekin Partners Hair and Beauty (Belfast).

 

Beauty Salon of the Year North East winner is About Face Beauty Clinic (Carrickfergus).

Beauty Salon of the Year South East winner is Purple Lashes (North Down).

Beauty Salon of the Year Southern winner is Beauty Secrets (Dungannon).

Beauty Salon of the Year Western winner is Aura Beauty (Strabane).

Beauty Salon of the Year Belfast winner is Beauty Culture (Belfast).

 

Beauty Salon of the Year Overall winner is About Face Beauty Clinic (Carrickfergus).

 

Hair Salon of the Year North East winner is Stephen Cairns Hairdressing (Ballymoney).

Hair Salon of the Year South East winner is Timothy Smyth Hair Design (Bangor).

Hair Salon of the Year Southern winner is Lynsay’s Hair Hut (Cookstown).

Hair Salon of the Year Western winner is Identity Hair Company (Irvinestown).

Hair Salon of the Year Belfast winner is The Hair Lounge (Belfast).

 

Hair Salon of the Year Overall winner is Identity Hair Company (Irvinestown).
