STARLETS from across the globe where out to shine at the summer event of the year: ‘The Serpentine Bash.’

Hosted by L’Wren Scott, ex-model and fashion designer, the party boasted a guest list of super stars that were out in full force. Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Sarah Jessica Parker and Georgia May Jagger all showed their honed in hues especially for the party of the summer. The Serpentine summer bash celebrates summer alfresco-style in Hyde Park and this look was certainly being perfected by the stars at the event. The variety of styles that they donned for the event showcased their individuality and take on an alfresco summer.

Host, L’Wren Scott dazzled in one of her own designs with a gold, shimmering fish-tail dress that was accentuated by her hair swept back in lose waves.  The designer looked every inch the part in her own creation, resulting in her being the belle of the bash.  A colour that not many celebrities would have chosen, L’Wren Scott went full steam ahead and ensured that all eyes were on her.  Even in pictures taken with other celebrities who attended the soiree in the park, L’Wren stood out from the crowd, taking the crown in many eyes for best dressed.

Sarah Jessica Parker, never one to put a foot wrong in the style stakes donned a Gatsby-esqe, Daisy Buchanan number by Naeem Khan.  The dress was silver, in a 1920s flapper style that she accompanied with minimal jewellery, in order to keep the attention on the stunning dress. Her classic SATC girl came out, however, as she wore Manolo Blahnik’s with the dress, something she is famed for in her time as Carrie Bradshaw. SJP, wore her hair straight with an ombré styling and a centre parting that ensured she stood out from the other stars.  SJP’s outfit was bang on trend this season, and with her leading the style stakes we should look forward to more Gatsby themed attire.

As an ode to the party host, HRH Princess Beatrice wowed in a navy L’Wren Scott dress with scalloped edging.  She accompanied the dress with a navy, jewelled glitter box clutch that looked just the part.  Princess Beatrice was not the only celebrity to pay homage to the host with others such as Karen Elson and Daisy Lowe donning very different L’Wren Scott designs at the bash.

Naomi Campbell on the other hand went for an edgier, grunge chic number consisting of a black, long-sleeved mini dress by David Koma.  With a mix of sheer panelling and leather Ms. Campbell looked like the queen of punk. She also added black studded, pixie fold over heeled boots to give her outfit and even edgier feel.  She also accessorized with minimal jewellery, therefore giving her grunge chic persona centre stage at the event.

Rolling Stones offspring and sprightly Rimmel model, Georgia May Jagger donned a ‘pillar box’ red L’Wren Scott creation completed with a perfect red pout.  She ensured that her choice stood out on the night. The red-encrusted dress along with straight natural hair reflected Georgia’s laid back attitude but also placed her as one of the leaders in the style stakes at the open-air bash.

The iconic, English rose, Kate Moss went for a very different take on the classic LBD.  Moss had a tailored jacket on top, which she then contrasted with a sheer black leopard print dress underneath.  Adding to the LBD, Moss wore her hair straight with a black boxed diamante clutch in hand, she vamped up the usually reliable LBD turning herself into a style vixen.

The best dressed of the evening; however, with their show-stopping designs were the host, L’Wren Scott and Sarah Jessica Parker, resident SATC gal. The ladies both wowed in gold and silver numbers, making sure they stood out from the whole crowd at London’s Hyde Park open- air event.  They really were the stars that shone at the Serpentine Bash 2013.
