Radio Ulster’s Ralph Mclean hosted an interactive whiskey and leather making workshop last night (Thursday) in the heart of Belfast at Blaklist.
The evening opened with an educational tastings session on some of Bushmills’ best loved whiskeys, led by acclaimed bartender Paul Rocks. Belfast leatherworker Jason Karayiannis then shared his career story and provided an insight into the traditions of leather and craft before attendees were taught how to create their own personalised leather products such as drinks coasters and keyrings.
‘Black Bush and Leatherwork’ was part of Bushmills Irish Whiskey’s #BlackBushStories event series that showcases and celebrates the stories of Irish talent who have gone against the grain to follow their passion and become champions in their chosen field.
