Snow Cakes for Autism this Christmas

by • November 7, 2016 • EventsComments (0)1682

Join Northern Ireland’s Autism charity, Autism NI, this Christmas and hold a ‘Snow Cakes for Autism’ Coffee Morning. Christmas is often a very stressful time for the Autism community and therefore there is no better time to raise awareness for this ‘hidden disability’.

Autism NI’s Marketing and Fundraising Officer Rachel Gribben said: “Holding a ‘Snow Cakes for Autism’ Coffee Morning couldn’t be easier – December is a great month to celebrate the festive season, and now you can support a good cause whilst doing so. All you need to do to take part in this awareness raising event is hold a coffee and cakes morning at home, work or school. Invite your friends, family or work colleagues to join you and ask everyone to make a small donation to support Autism NI.

“We will help you along the way by providing you with a ‘Snow Cakes’ pack, which contains balloons, posters, Autism information and even a ‘Snow Cakes’ recipe.”

With over 30,000 people in Northern Ireland affected by Autism and every year over 1400 children being diagnosed, Autism has become the highest growing disability in Europe. Therefore Autism NI needs your support so that it can continue to provide vital services to those families and individuals living with Autism in Northern Ireland. All money raised will go towards helping the Autism community in Northern Ireland.
