The much anticipated Six by Nico Belfast restaurant will open its doors in March in the bustling Cathedral Quarter, serving up ‘The Chippie’ menu. The introduction of the conceptual new dining experience is the brainchild of Scottish-Italian chef, Nico Simeone – the man behind the much-loved restaurants based in Scotland.
The team can reveal that the eagerly anticipated first six-week menu is ‘The Chippie’. Foodies will be treated not only to a new restaurant but a brand-new dining experience that the city has never seen.
‘The Chippie’ will kick-start the series of evolving concepts – which includes
a six-course tasting-menu, providing a nostalgic nod to the traditional
fish and chip shop. Items on the menu are creatively re-imaged with an extra
contemporary twist, giving people a fun and unexpected dining experience. The
menu includes; chips & cheese, scampi, steak pie, fish supper, smoked
sausage and deep-fried mars bar. Vegetarian alternatives are also available.
Chef Nico Simeone said, “We are very excited to launch in Belfast
with the ‘The Chippie’ concept, the first in our series of evolving menus. Most
people are familiar with the tastes and scents of their local chip shop and we
wanted to take the idea of the everyday chippie menu and re-invent it to create
a playful food experience that guests would recognise and be amazed by.
He added, “We couldn’t be more delighted about bringing a
completely new offering and dining experience to the people of Belfast. By
challenging ourselves to do this every six-weeks we feel we have created
the perfect recipe for an exciting culinary adventure for not just our diners,
but our team too. Opening in a city outside my home country of Scotland is
something I am really excited about and I am delighted to have chosen Belfast
as my next venture.”
Diners can book a table now for ‘The Chippie’, which runs from Tuesday March 5th
– Sunday 14th April 2019. Open from midday, Tuesday
through to Sunday, each six-course menu will be available from noon to
night. The menu will be priced at £28 per person and diners will have the
option to enjoy an expertly selected wine pairing for an additional £25.
Six by Nico will open its
doors on Waring Street in March 2019, becoming the latest addition to the
city’s burgeoning restaurant and bar scene. From creative menu concepts to
outstanding food and service, the venue will aim to become an immediate hit
with the people of Belfast.
