£1 from every Maxol carwash will help grant a child’s wish
The Maxol Group is delighted to announce the return of ‘Wash for Wishes’ carwash fundraising campaign, as part of the company’s charity partnership with Make-A-Wish UK. ‘Wash for Wishes’ Carwash Week will run from Wednesday 30th September until Wednesday 7th October 2015.
Maxol aims to surpass the £7,500 figure raised previously and is encouraging motorists to use Maxol carwash facilities at participating service stations in the knowledge that £1 from every carwash will be donated directly to Make-A-Wish UK to help grant the wish of a child in the UK with a life-threatening medical condition.
All funds raised will help Make-A-Wish to reach their 2015 target of granting 175 wishes which is a 29% increase on last year.
Speaking at the launch, Fergal Harrington, Group Brand Development Manager, The Maxol Group commented, “Maxol is proud to work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as the company’s ongoing charity partner for 2015. To date we are delighted to say we have raised an incredible £120,000 for the foundation. The generosity of our customers is always phenomenal and ‘Wash for Wishes’ continues to be one of our key campaigns for the charity. We want to stress that every donation made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation goes towards helping those who need it most.”
Jason Suckley, CEO of Make-A-Wish UK, told us, “Thank you to Maxol and its customers for supporting Make-A-Wish UK through Maxol’s Wash for Wishes carwash week. The fantastic effort from this fundraiser will help grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of some of the most deserving children and young people across the UK. We want to grant the wishes of over 1,000 seriously ill children this year and funds raised this week will help us achieve this.”
For those children affected with life threatening medical conditions, having a wish granted can be a life changing experience with a positive impact on their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. ‘Wash for Wishes’ carwash week is the perfect opportunity to not only spruce up your car but to also to help make a child’s wish come true.
Participating service stations are listed on http://www.maxol.com/in-the-community/wash-for-wishes and will display ‘Wash for Wishes’ advertisements on their forecourts.
