Iconic bridal emporium Blush, on Belfast’s Lisburn Road, is teaming up with leading London-based designer Ian Stuart to bring brides-to-be a first glimpse at the designer’s 2014 collection as well as offer more than a decade of knowledge in unique one-on-one consultations on the day.
The exclusive and one-off event, which will take place on Saturday 23 November in the intimate setting of a luxurious afternoon tea at The Merchant Hotel, is already filling up and boutique owner Aileen is delighted with the response. “Ian Stuart is a world-renowned designer so this really is such a fabulous opportunity for brides to be. It really is a one off event for Ireland. We had some brides trying to reserve places before we’d even confirmed the venue and I was so delighted to hear their enthusiasm for Ian’s wonderful designs.
“The great thing about Ian is that he is lovely to work with and listen to, so I imagine many brides to be will be wowed with his knowledge and intricate design when they see the collections. Ian’s someone we’ve been working with us since we opened and someone whose collection I genuinely adore, so it is fantastic that he is coming to Belfast in person to do this with us. All brides will have the chance to discuss their weddings with Ian and will be able to order with him on the day.”
Fashion designer Ian rose to fame after a stint at Belville Sassoon, one of London’s finest couture houses which specialise in creating gowns for socialites and members of the Royal family. This training gave him invaluable knowledge of cut, proportion, balance and wearability within design. He has been awarded on numerous occasions for his outstanding work.
He said: “I am delighted to be coming to Belfast and meeting lots of Irish and Northern Irish brides. It’s a pleasure to meet with ladies of all ages and hear about their wedding plans. I love making their dreams come true with a dress and like to work together as much as possible to create something which will make them feel their most beautiful on their wedding day.”
