Help support an important charitable cause while enjoying a fashion-fueled night of glamour, champagne and highly coveted prizes this April at the DV8 Fashion Show.
Manager of DV8 Kennedy Centre, Martin Bloomfield, has pulled together an outstanding team of local businesses who are kindly donating their services free of charge in order to produce an outstanding night of fun and fashion.
Kicking off at the Balmoral Hotel in Belfast, Sunday 13th April at 6.30 pm, guests will be warmly welcomed by a flowing champagne fountain upon arrival, with a DJ from popular radio show Belfast’s Most Music Station Blast 106 providing compere throughout the fashion-packed event.
The hotly-anticipated evening of style promises to provide a demonstration of the hottest trends for spring and summer, showcasing an inspiring range of top-branded fashion for both men and women from one of Northern Ireland’s top independent retailers, featuring an array of DV8 clothing with some of the most popular brands it has to offer, including; Superdry, G-Star, Glamorous, Chi Chi, Closet, and of course the highly in-demand, bestselling brand AX Paris.
Styled by Martin himself, the event promises an innovative array of strong, inspirational catwalk looks, including a flurry of floral, an eclectic collection of tropical prints, vivid colour-blocking in hot-pink, bright yellow, lime green and eye-catching blue, and of course on-trend monochrome. Furthermore, with this season’s jumpsuit having a serious fashion moment, get ready to see how best to accessorise this gorgeous, versatile trend to ensure all eyes will be on you this summer.
Alongside such new season trends are the newly-evolved, rejuvenated looks, so popular they have re-emerged once again along with the sunshine, including this season’s take on the previously popular midi-dress, playsuits, cute skater dresses and those party-essential colourful bodycons.
Not to be outdone, menswear will be showcased to perfection with popular best-selling trends including; tailored DV8 menswear, bestselling Guide London, sharp G-Star, ever-popular Jack and Jones, innovative Criminal Damage – renowned for their unique take on street-wear with a trend-led edge, and lots more.
Northern Ireland’s elite fashion industry have been displaying their emphatic support for this vital cause by thoroughly backing the high-profile event, with models provided by Northern Ireland’s fastest growing agency LSH Modelling and Promotions, in addition to a number of volunteers from local school Malone Integrated College. In keeping with the charitable theme, locally renowned beauticians Prim and Pamper and popular Tonic Hair will be in attendance on the night to ensure the models look fittingly show-stopping glamorous for the night.
Held in conjunction with local charity ‘MACS – Supporting Young People,’ the event aims to raise money and awareness for a vital cause, providing a range of support for young people aged 16-25, who have not had a fair deal in life. This far-reaching charity works across the highest areas of deprivation amongst Belfast, Lisburn and County Down in order to provide core services such as; Supported Housing, Mentoring, and Floating Support.
Madeline Donnelly, Fundraiser from MACS explains how important this fundraising event will be: “DV8 have been very generous to our young people in the past but we are completely overwhelmed with the dedication and hard work that the DV8 store is doing in order to ensure this event raises lots of money for MACS Supporting Young People.
“MACS offers a range of services to support young people: from practical help in providing housing; to helping them get and keep a place to live; to providing a range of programmes to help build their confidence, make more positive choices or get involved in social, training and educational opportunities.”
Martin enthusiastically reaffirms the vital need to support ‘MACS Supporting Young People,’ – whose main role is to guide young people stuck in negative patterns of thinking and behaviour that prevent them from fulfilling their full potential and leading the lives they want to lead by helping them through this difficult period:
“MACS are an amazing charity. I am so happy to have gotten the chance to work with them to raise much needed funds to keep them doing the great work they are doing with the young people of Northern Ireland.”
