Belfast bar, Cuckoo is offering members of the public the chance to show off their Ping Pong prowess this week by providing the opportunity to take on one of Ulster’s top table tennis players, or a novel ping pong robot, in a bid to raise funds for Comic Relief. This Thursday 14th March from 8pm, Andrew Dennison (13 times Ulster singles Champion) and Amanda Mogey (Current Irish number 1) will join Arnold the Robot to take on members of the public in the ultimate ping pong contest. The quick fire competition at the Lisburn Road bar is being run in conjunction with Table Tennis Ulster and will see each contestant trying to bat back as many ping pong balls at their opponent as possible; Arnold the Ping Pong Robot alone can fire up to 100 balls a minute at the opposing player. Punters stepping up to the challenge will be in with a chance to win a variety of top prizes, including an overnight stay in the 5-star Merchant Hotel and dinner in Little Wing Pizzeria. Funds raised at the event will be donated to Comic Relief. For further information, call Cuckoo on 028 9066 7776 or visit Cuckoo Belfast on Facebook and Twitter.
