galgorm logoThe luxurious Co. Antrim based Galgorm Resort & Spa have unveiled their latest masterpiece which represents a three-month renovation to the Upper Great Hall, totalling £1.5 million.

The award-winning establishment, set on the banks of the River Maine, revealed the newly titled Renaissance Suite which features a dramatic fully glazed wall that gives guests a stunning view of cascading waters and dramatic landscape.

Hosting up to 160 guests, the suite has been finished to the highest spec using luxurious materials including rich leather seating, antique gold leaf mirrors, solid oak panel walls, a feature fireplace and chandelier bar that have created a decidedly different, but timeless and opulent feel.

The Renaissance suite is open to the public for the first time this Sunday – at the Resort’s bridal open day – and the announcement of the refurbishment will allow the four star luxury property to enjoy consistent five star standards throughout and maintain its standing as one of Northern Ireland’s most popular wedding venues.

A further £10 million extension including 48 additional bedrooms and a new leisure wing which will incorporate a luxury swimming pool and state of-the-art gym has also begun.

Commenting on today’s announcement Operations Director Paul Smyth said: “The Renaissance Suite has been in development for a number of years with careful consideration afforded to every new element.

“This is a very exciting time for the team at Galgorm Resort and Spa and we are delighted that we can continue to invest in and contribute to local tourism.

“All of the forthcoming changes have been heavily influenced by feedback from existing and prospective customers and we feel that it is essential to strive to improve on the resort to continually exceed the expectations of our guests.”

The new banqueting suite also features its own private entrance complete with an outside terrace, an opulent new reception area with open fires, custom-made carpets, parquet and marble tiled flooring and luxurious soft furnishings that combine traditional elegance and grandeur with contemporary flair.
