As part of Belfast City Council’s Pop Up ‘City of Music Initiative’, they will team up with Q Radio to host ‘Summer Sessions’ with local songstresses Rebekah Fitch and Allison McGrath this Friday (24th August).  This Summer Session is free to the public from 4pm – 5pm and will take place at Q HQ on the terrace on the first floor of The Fountain Centre, Belfas. The multi award winning Bangor based Bangla Restaurant will provide guests to delicious Indian cuisine.

Described as a Northern Irish pop phenomenon, Rebekah combines the artistry of Florence and The Machine, the lyric-writing of Stevie Nicks and the electronic music of Bjork.  With mesmerising tape loops and powerful vocals, she creates unforgettable live performances.

Allison McGrath has just launched her new album ‘At Long Last’ and will be performing some of the tracks which have earned her critical acclaim from numerous music aficionados, ahead of her official Belfast CD launch, to take place at The American Bar on 1 September.  Allison’s style ranges from Soul, Blues and even a bit of reggae.

Q Summer Sessions will certainly kick off your weekend on the right note and it’s free to the public.

4pm-5pm At Q HQ, Fountain Centre Belfast.
