Ballymena drivers have allegedly been seeing red as a dramatic image on a billboard has brought traffic in the market town to a stand still.

The billboard in Broughshane Street, at the entrance to Fairhill Shopping Centre, features one of the images which earned local entrepreneur Julian Dalrymple from The Sitting Room Hairdressing, the prestigious title of Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year, at the recent British Hairdressing Awards.

The image of a beautiful Top London model with red hair has reportedly distracted drivers and caused long tail backs to the entrance of the shopping centre.

Julian Dalrymple says;

“It was never my intention to create havoc.  I was simply wanting to celebrate winning the Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year award and showcase the photographic collection in my home town and chose the image which has already received a lot of attention after being chosen to grace the front cover of Ulster Life Magazine. The billboard is coming down this week, so hopefully the traffic will return to normal.”ballymena the sitting room ulster life
