Hollywood’s leading ladies and gents provided the ultimate swoon on the red carpet as they arrived to celebrate the best performances and films of the year.

First up is fresh-faced Jennifer Lawrence, actress in The Hunger Games, Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle who took home the award for Best supporting actress in a musical or comedy for her role in American Hustle. She wore a strapless white dress, with black trimming and a tulle skirt from the Dior Couture A/W 2013 collection.  With the dashing number she teamed a black Roger Vivier clutch bag. Sporting her pixie crop at the event she ensured she stood out with colour popping red lipstick and minimal jewelry.

Red was the colour of the evening with various big names pulling out the show-stopping colour to ensure they wowed on the red carpet for the prestigious Golden Globe awards. Amy Adams, actress also from the American Hustle wore a Valentino Couture red dress with a plunging neckline and flowing train that made sure she was centre of attention when making her way up the red carpet on Sunday evening. Sandra Bullock’s au natural beauty ensures that she can pull off a variety of looks, with this satin colour blocking number garnering appeal from the artistic eye. Although it was different to the other classic, 1970s Hollywood glamour that categorized the red carpet, Sandra swept the crowd away with her original design from the Prabal Gurung pre A/W 2014 collection.

Kate Beckinsale also oozed sophisticated glamour as she donned a Zuhair Murad couture gown. It was a shimmery, silver grey bustier style fish-tail gown that she teamed with a loose wave side up-do that ensured she looked every inch the red carpet queen. Glamour and sophistication were the epitome of Kate’s red carpet look. Mila Kunis also sported a classy, glitzy grey Gucci Premiere backless gown that she combined with minimal jewelry and smoky eye makeup.

Screen siren, Reese Witherspoon also stole the spotlight in her figure-hugging teal Calvin Klein gown set off with Harry Winston jewelry. Her blonde hair was styled into a blunt bob that helped her gown look classy. Reese accessorized with a small box clutch. Actress, Emma Roberts, however, opted for a simple black off the shoulder Lanvin gown that was easily one of the classiest outfits of the evening. Accessorized with blue earrings adding a dash of pop to her outfit. She pulled off the Audrey Hepburn old-school Hollywood glamour with sophistication and poise.

Amber Heard, wowed in a thigh splitting navy, Atelier Versace gown that showed off her enviable pins. Adding Jimmy Choo heels she looked every inch the smouldering Hollywood siren.  Her messy up-do only added to the starlet’s glamour. Another fashion winner of the evening was Masters of Sex star, Catlin Fitzgerald. She wore a sweeping textured Emilia Wickstead gown in a baby blue colour. She matched her shoes perfectly to the dress with a pointed court shoe.  Her dress certainly stood out from the crowd with a slick of coral lipstick that she teamed with her megawatt smile. Actress and model, Sofia Vergara stunned in a sweetheart black Zac Posen gown.  She added pop to the dress by wearing a chunky statement necklace in blue by Lorraine Schwartz.

The Golden Globes played host to starlets that all pulled off show stopping looks individual to their unique styles. Kaley Cuoco, star of The Big Bang Theory, wore a strapless dusky pink floral pattern gown.  The dress was a Rani Zakhem Couture A/W 2013 gown that was teamed with a maroon Jimmy Choo clutch bag that both blended in and brought out the floral pattern of the gown.  Her hair was styled in a straight, sleek over the shoulder sweep that set off her dusky gown perfectly. The Good Wife, actress Julianna Margulies rounded off the evening on a classy note with her black Andrew Gn gown. It was sophisticated, simple and the epitome of an LBD with a twist of gold embroidered into the dress. Her hair was swept into an old school glamour up-do that set her outfit off.

Golden Globes glamour starts the fashion calendar off for the year and after Sunday night’s festivities it is apparent this year the fashion stakes have been set even higher. Although a lot of the celebrity’s styles stood out, Emma Watson’s Dior Couture red dress and Sofia Vergara’s LBD Zac Posen gown were the most enviable styles of the evening.
