Following the ethos of the bareMinerals make up brand ‘Be original. Be natural. Be good’. We also believe makeup and skincare should not only make you look good, but should be good for your skin.

bareMinerals products have skin loving formulas, containing no talc or artificial colours or emollients. The minerals are deprived from the earth and are non-comedogenic, every ingredient is there for a purpose and designed to treat the skin. They are available in liquid, a hydrating gel, loose and pressed bases. With six foundations to choose from they have your complexion covered.

In 2014 the bareSkin foundation took the makeup industry by storm as the first bareMinerals liquid mineral foundation. A coconut derived based serum that contains a non-chemical SPF 20, vitamin c and Lilac plant cell to encourage cell renewal that comes in a range of shades. The patented top selling Perfecting face brush is structured with a ‘well’ to hold the drops of foundation for you to apply it easily.

The new bareSkin perfecting veil finishing powder will give a flawless finish to your foundation, using a special blend of minerals to absorb excess oil and balance skin texture. The bareSkin complete serum concealer will give extra coverage and is especially formulated to treat fine lines around the eye area.

Since the Kardashian family came onto our screens we have all taken to the method of using contouring techniques when applying our makeup. There are different ways to contour, one the most popular techniques is to apply a lighter shade of concealer down the centre of the forehead in a ‘v’ shape stroke then continue down the nose, under eyes and across the upper cheek bones following out to under the temples. With a darker shade of concealer apply a stroke underneath the apple of your cheek, and underneath the sides of the jaw line, follow with applying your colour matched foundation and buff.

Preparing our skin before makeup application is vital. Primers are more popular than ever. The Dermalogica Hydrablur is known by many beauty bloggers as the ‘Filter in a bottle’. This lightweight, non-greasy primer minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, mattifies against oily shine and imparts a silky, luminous finish to skin. You would apply this on top of your moisturiser for under your makeup. After all if the base is in good condition, well hydrated and prepared properly, then makeup will apply more easily and last longer.

Don’t forget washing and caring for your make up brushes is just as important especially if you are suffering from any skin breakouts, as bacteria can spread so easily. I would recommend to do this regularly, once a week if needed. Always re shape and leave them on their side to dry rather than upright.
