Banksy works set for Belfast Print Workshop

On Thursday the 6th of November the Belfast Print Workshop Gallery will play host to ‘Breed’, a contemporary art exhibition unlike anything seen before in Northern Ireland. Featuring a collection of the biggest and most recognisable artists from around the world, the exhibition will showcase work by Banksy, Faile, Antony Micallef, Paul Insect, Dave Choe and more.

Having come to prominence through what was often tagged as the Urban Art scene, these artists have gone from strength to strength over the past decade to become some of the most talked about names within contemporary art. From Faile’s groundbreaking street work, including their stunning “Ruined Temple” in Lisbon, to Banksy’s now iconic imagery snapped up by collectors ranging from Damien Hirst to Brad Pitt, this collective of artists has succeeded in selling out shows worldwide and establishing themselves as the ones to watch within the new breed of contemporary art.

Now for the first time their work will be available for sale for one month only in the Belfast Print Workshop Gallery from Thursday the 6th of November until Sunday the 30th of November, sponsored by Absolute Vodka.  All pieces come with provenance and have been authenticated. Breed is a rare opportunity to purchase some of the most sought after works that are virtually impossible to source outside of the likes of Sotheby’s and Bonham’s.

Drawing on his background as a music video and fashion film director, the show’s curator, Neil Kerr, will be creating an art installation setting for the opening night of the show.

‘Breed’ is a rare chance to see the work of some of contemporary art’s most promising and established talents in a group exhibition that is ground-breaking for the local arts scene.
