It’s the job of every petrol-head’s dreams and applications are now being accepted for what some would say is the best driving job in the world.

Not many jobs hand you the keys to a limited-edition Audi RS6 Performance R on your first day on the job, but that’s exactly what’s in store for one lucky car fanatic in Northern Ireland.

Kerr’s Tyres & Auto, one of Northern Ireland’s premier providers of tyre and automotive services, is on the lookout to recruit a new member to join its expanding team and take on the exciting new role. The successful applicant will be required to attend motor shows and events throughout the UK and Ireland every weekend, with all expenses covered, in the high-end luxury car.

At first glance the Audi RS6 Performance R may appear to be a luxury estate car, perfect for everyday family life. But, the performance model carries staggering power beneath the bonnet with prices starting from an unnerving £86,000. Audi’s most powerful estate car ever, the RS6 Performance R model boasts a 4.0-litre TFSI V8 engine unleashing a phenomenal 600+ horsepower with a top speed of 200 mph.

Commenting on the unique job opportunity Norman Kerr, Managing Director at Kerr’s Tyres & Auto, said:

“This really is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to drive a one-of-a-kind car and could be considered one of the best driving jobs in the world. When the successful applicant collects the keys to our Audi RS6 Performance R model it will be the only one on the roads in Northern Ireland, which has also been exclusively branded with a bespoke chrome paint design.”

The envious job opportunity has been created to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Yokohama Tyres, the Japanese producer of high performance tyres first established in 1917.

“We are thrilled to be part of this unique job prospect with one of our leading suppliers in Northern Ireland, Kerr’s Tyres & Auto, as we mark our 100th anniversary” commented David Seward, Managing Director, YOKOHAMA UK Division.

“Yokohama is the oldest tyre manufacturer in Japan, producing over 70 million units every year. We have been distributing in the UK since 1988 through a wide network of dealerships and it’s fitting that we mark such a milestone occasion in the company’s history by being part of this enviable motoring opportunity with one of our established dealers.”

To apply, you must have a full UK driving licence, have impeccable social skills, have love for all things with an engine and be prepared to work weekends. The deadline for applications is Friday 16 June 2017.
