BeYOUtiful Hair and Beauty, based on the Holywood Road in Belfast, took part in a fundraiser to raise much needed funds for the Breast Cancer Care charity that totalled £120. Breast Cancer Care provides people who have been diagnosed with Cancer, the information and support they need to help them through their journey.

During the fundraising activities, the salon was decorated in pink (the international colour of breast cancer awareness) and the fun-loving employees completed their outfits with pink accessories. A raffle was held within the salon that included a number of excellent prizes and light refreshments were provided to the salon’s clients throughout the day.

Salon Proprietor, Jenny McCalmont said, “We were delighted to raise money for Breast Cancer Care – a charity that does fantastic work for people affected by Cancer. Our clients were brilliant throughout the day with many donating more than the ticket value and we even had people taking part in the raffle through our social media channels!”

Speaking about the donation from BeYOUtiful, Breast Cancer Care representative Alec Raven, Head of Community Fundraising said: “We’re so grateful to BeYOUtiful Hair and Beauty for holding a community event in aid of Breast Cancer Care. The money raised will help Breast Cancer Care to continue to provide free services including; support over the phone with a nurse or someone who’s been there, welcoming online forums, reliable information and local group support.

“691,000 people are living with a breast cancer diagnosis in the UK today, and that figure is only set to grow. With support from businesses like BeYOUtiful, we can be here for more people, whenever they need us.”
